Biography

Mr Felipe Eduardo Dhawahir-Scala is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, Retinal Specialist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the world renowned Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the UK. He also holds the position of Director of the Acute Ophthalmic Services at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. He qualified as a doctor from Madrid, Spain and he trained in Ophthalmology in the West Midlands and Northwest of England. He has introduced several new technologies and concepts to the Ophthalmic world at a national and international level.

He is actively involved with research, teaching and training of Postgraduates and Undergraduates. He is involved in training Vitreoretinal Surgeons and Medical Retina Specialists worldwide, as part of the world renowned Manchester Royal Eye Hospital Vitreoretinal and Medical Retina Fellowship. He is one of the founders of the British Emergency Eye Care Society, for which he holds the position of Vice-President.
